Canadian comedians Jess Beaulieu (left) and Natalie Norman (right) host podcasts about periods. Together they’re called The Crimson Wave. Their mission: to eliminate the shame associated with menstruation while telling jokes about leaking through white jeans.
The result of this is a series of hilarious videos where the girls talk about vaginas and periods. BFFs Jess and Nathalie are opposites and argue frequently, but they love each other with their whole uterus. Their life motto: go with the flow and wear double underwear.
A must see: episode three where the girls explain the concept of a menstrual cup to their male roommate Faisal. ‘You insert it into your vagina and it collects the blood. Which you can then save in cute little mason jars and use for a variety of activities. Such as fertilising plants, marking your territory or oiling your bike chains.’ A bit gross, but extremely funny!
