It looks like an amazing kid’s toy, this tampon finger puppet which we found in Stacey Rebecca’s shop. But beware, the toy isn’t safe for children at all, the maker warns: ‘Can you imagine poor little Wendy choking on a bedazzled tampon? It’s a horrific sight to behold. I’m glad I’ve never beheld it. Be responsible, don’t give small toys to children under three. Besides, then poor little Wendy will be really disappointed when she hits puberty & it doesn’t come out all sparkly and fabulous.’ So if anyone asks what kind of puppet this is exactly, just reply: ‘It’s a sparkling candle’.
Compared to this one, the rest of the puppet collection (mice, cats, dinosaurs, dragons) is surprisingly innocent and soft. Finger puppet Yes It’s Bedazzled, handmade from acrylic felt and bedazzle gems, and with a happy or sad face, £16.79. staceyrebecca.etsy.com
